To celebrate our Flagship Store’s First Birthday, we’re setting a very special festive table - this time with an Eastern European flourish - together with Anastasia Zolotarev.
As we gather around one long shared table for a celebratory lunch, Anastasia will lead a mini-workshop inspired by her newly released book Sour Cherries and Sunflowers: A Taste of Home.
She’ll share how her heritage shapes her approach to food, offer a window into the traditions behind her cooking, and leave us inspired with simple, heartfelt dishes to bring into the season of celebrations ahead.

About the Author
Anastasia Zolotarev is an Eastern European-Australian Author, Cook and Food Creative based in Sydney. Passionate about connecting food with community, she hosts intimate supper clubs and workshops where she teaches home cooks how to make piroshky, honey cake and other signature Eastern European recipes. Author of newly published cookbookSour Cherries & Sunflowers, her recipes have been featured byVOGUE, Delicious Magazine UK, Broadsheet, SBS Food, Channel 7’s Morning Show, and Rachel Khoo. She also runs sell-out fundraisers and initiatives to support Ukrainian organisations and charities.

Explore Eastern European food culture and identity through over 80 delicious, entirely achievable recipes. Food is grounding; it connects us to our past, moves with people across borders, and is ever evolving. Anastasia Zolotarev draws on her Ukrainian and Belarusian heritage and celebrates the food and flavours of Eastern Europe.
