Each card reproduces one of 50 major works of art by Michelangelo, Velázquez, Degas, Van Gogh, Kandinsky, Dalí, Warhol and others. As well as key information, such as artist and date, the cards also use symbols and colours to indicate which Movement and Theme the work represents. There are twelve Movements – Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Realism, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Expressionism, Cubism, Futurism, Surrealism and Pop Art – and six Themes – People, Places, Objects, Animals, Story and Religion.

Arent & Pyke

$80.00

The objects that tell stories, the colours that call to the senses, the materials that evoke certain moods – all these play a vital part in the design of a home by Arent & Pyke. Known for their focus on the psychology of space, the design duo maintains that a well-designed home can enrich your life. Their masterful approach to colour and materials results in optimistic, meaningful interiors high on charm and comfort.

With expertise in the softer nuanced tones of the tertiary palette, colours such as coral, nougat and olive, Juliette Arent and Sarah-Jane Pyke use colour to lift the spirits and arresting material pairings to evoke a nostalgic allure. Whether it’s the drama of three different types of marble or a checkerboard terrazzo floor of variegated greens, the Arent & Pyke signature style balances colour and materiality.

This, their first book, addresses their design ethos expressed through joy, colour, character, spirit and alchemy, and showcases their best work. Each of the projects featured include paint names, fabric brands, key learnings and insights into how these spaces were created. Generously illustrated and artfully designed, Arent & Pyke: Interiors Beyond the Primary Palette exemplifies how a thoughtfully designed space has the power to generate a sense of grounding, comfort and freedom to create a full, joyous living experience.

What makes Saardé Natural Olive Oil Soap so special?

Saardé all-natural olive oil bar soap is made on a beautiful sun-drenched olive farm on the Aegean coast of Turkey - a region where olives have been cultivated for over 2000 years.

The process and formulation of this soap were developed over many years to be particularly moisturising and nourishing – it is unlike any other soap you have ever used - it feels beautiful to use, doesn't leave your skin feeling dry and doesn't crack or get the soapy slime that many soaps do.

Great Escapes Italy. The Hotel Book

    La bell’Italia è per sempre
Legendary hotels and secret hideaways full of atmosphere

To travel through Italy is as close as one gets to being in paradise. For centuries, writers, artists, architects, and merchants have been drawn here, inspired by the beauty of Venice, Florence, Naples, and Rome. Countless books, paintings, poems, and sculptures are evidence of its undying appeal, and over the past 60 years, the country has become one of the world’s top travel and holiday destinations. The loveliness of Italy is, if not eternal, certainly enduring, and the easygoing and relaxed Italian lifestyle is still unrivaled.

Here, some of Italy’s most amazing landscapes and diverse regions are brought to life, like Tuscany, Umbria, the Amalfi Coast, and, no less magical, the Aeolian Islands off the coast of Sicily. In these mythical surroundings are legendary hotels full of atmosphere, where novels are set, movies are made, weddings are celebrated, and famous love stories consummated: Villa d’Este on Lake Como, the Pellicano Hotel in Porto Ercole, the Il San Pietro on the Amalfi Coast, and the Palazzo Margherita in Basilicata—to name just a few. Angelika Taschen also reveals where to find more secret and hidden jewels—from the Locanda Cipriani, a destination for food lovers on the island of Torcello, to the romantic Castello di Vicarello in Tuscany and the atmospheric Masseria Moroseta in Puglia.

Great Escapes Greece. The Hotel Book

    $100.00

Greece’s ancient art and culture form the cradle of Western civilization-numerous monuments and museums tell to this day of the country’s rich history. Greece is unique also by virtue of its breathtaking landscapes, the hospitality of its inhabitants, and its fabulous hotels, making it the dream destination of many travelers. The fresh and healthy cuisine, the crystal clear sea, and the canvas-worthy sunsets do the rest-a trip to Greece is pure delight.

Angelika Taschen travels from the mountains of Macedonia in the north to the Peloponnese with its mythical places like Corinth, Sparta, and Olympia, and to the larger and smaller groups of islands in the south. She opens the doors to some of the country’s most extraordinary hotels, including Imaret in Kavala, located in a former Ottoman complex; Tainaron Blue Retreat in a secluded former defense tower in the Mani; and The Windmill, a converted windmill on the island of Kimolos in the Cyclades. She invites readers to discover legendary luxury hotels, like Eagles Palace in Halkidiki or Poseidonion Grand Hotel on Spetses, and takes them to enchanting B&Bs like Guesthouse Mazaraki in Mystras or Mèlisses on Andros, run by food blogger Allegra Pomilio.

Along her itinerary, she visits hotels on well-known picturesque islands-such as the Mystique on Santorini and the Soho Roc House on Mykonos-but also accommodations in remote places like the Mediterraneo on the island of Kastelorizo, which lies in the very southeast of Greece off the Turkish coast. In addition she shows interesting architectural and design concepts, such as The Rou Estate hotel village, a historic, carefully restored hamlet on Corfu; the minimalist Olea All Suite Hotel on Zakynthos; and Ammos on Crete, where no two pieces of furniture are alike and new eccentric pieces are added every year.
