5 Things You Need to Know About the Saardé Body Range

Saardé Body

Not all body care products are made the same. In fact, there are so many variations these days with all sorts of peculiar components that you can spend half an hour trying to figure out which one is calling your name and end-up walking away with decision-making anxiety and no body wash.

At Saardé, just like with every other product, we like to keep it simple. That’s why when we first decided to develop our body range, we stripped it down to a single key component – olive oil. No palm oil, no SLS/SLES, no dyes, no synthetic preservatives, or colours – none of it!

Just an abundance of the highest quality premium olive oil from the sun-drenched Aegean coast of Turkey.

If you’re into this kind of body care (which you totally should be for the sake of your healthy and happy skin!) – here are a few more things you need to know about our soap bars and body wash range.

1. First, there was a soap bar.

That’s right, an old-school chunky body bar was the very first product Saardé introduced into the market – way before we started designing all other fancy bits and pieces that you love so much, about 10 years ago. And guess what? We haven’t changed a thing about it since then! Because why would you? The olives used for these body bars have been cultivated in the region for over 2000 years and after many years of development and extensive research, we have soap just the way our customers love it – incredibly moisturizing and nourishing, never cracking, never leaving any residue – just perfect.

2. It's natural, baby.

You will easily recognise the names of the key components in our soap bars and body washes. Saponified olive oil, saponified coconut oil, saponified castor oil, water, rosemary extract - that’s all it is, folks! Hang on, what on earth is “saponified”? Well, that’s just a process of converting the fats from the oils into soap – read “magic”. The perfume component in our soaps is less than 1%, meaning that it will infuse subtle aromatics into your bathroom without drying your skin. You can also opt-in for our Original Body Bar which has no perfume in it either. But no matter which scent you choose, rest assured there are no nasties like palm oil, SLS/SLES, dyes, synthetic preservatives, or synthetic colours involved. You could almost eat it… although we’d only recommend using it as food for your skin.

3. Suitable for all skin types, head to toes.

A beautiful nourishing soap that can be used for any skin type all around the body and even on your face – sounds too good to be true? Well, we told you before – we like to keep things simple. Instead of crowding your bathroom shelf with all sorts of gels, washes, foams and whatnot, you can have just one thing that does an equally great job on your knees and on your nose. Thanks to the amazing properties of olive oil, our Saardé Body Range gently cleanses the skin without leaving it greasy or clogging the pores, it’s hypoallergenic and anti-inflammatory, has a lower pH than most commercial soaps and will nourish your skin without interfering with its natural function. At the end of the day, your skin deserves it.

4. It's refillable too.

When we said that we haven’t changed a single thing in our soaps since day dot – that wasn’t entirely true. A couple of years ago we introduced refill packages with two simple goals – more value for our customers and less waste all around. Most importantly, the soap quality remains the same.
